Fall Weddings in Upstate New York with Alpacas

Nothing says fall like the great outdoors in upstate New York. So let’s head to Faraway Farm in the Hudson River Valley to enjoy the season! Scroll through to see this styled shoot, perfect for the season…

Together Events took us to Westchester County to the gorgeous Faraway Farm, just a quick trip north of New York City. Once we were there, we couldn’t begin to imagine a better place for a fall wedding. All around us was green grass, blue skies, and…alpacas! What a fun treat to spend the day with these friendly animals!

After an afternoon of playing with our new friends, we set the table for dinner. The table was set against a wood and white-washed barn on site. Our Indigo Velluto linen was paired with our Ultra Pumpkin Faux Dupioni napkins, setting the stage with a deep color palette. Add in a set of rustic wood chairs and it’s just the place for an al fresco dinner.

IndyFASO paired their beautiful blooms against our velvet-inspired backdrop for a stunning effect! Flowers in shades of peach and blush were accented with deep purples and golden accents. We love the assortment of candles, thin tapers, short votives and glass containers that sparkled throughout the night.

From the alpacas to the views, we are head over heels for Faraway Farms! Would you head to upstate New York for your fall wedding?

Traditional Hamilton Inspired Wedding Ideas

From the heart of Florida we stumbled across this stunner of a styled shoot. Green Pearl Photography conceptualized this with inspiration from Hamilton amidst a lovely palette of blues. Scroll through to see more…

Working with a blue palette and inspired by tradition a la Hamilton, Green Pearl Photography put together this lovely design, perfect to inspire a fall wedding. Our Sky Velluto runner was set against a wood table from RW Style, setting the perfect place for dinner. Running the length of the table alongside our velvet-inspired runner were lovely arrangements from Flowers by Lesley.

To really give the design that traditional look, chairs from RW Style were brought in a set of wood-based styles. Paired alongside the French-country inspired style seating, Green Pearl Photography brought in two scrolls to use as chair backs – such a creative piece of decor!

And the venue couldn’t have been more perfect! Luxmore Grande Estates in Winter Springs, Florida it’s a gorgeous venue. We’re in love with all the details – from sky-high windows to sparkling chandeliers.

Would you head to Central Florida for this stunner of a venue? We’re certainly there!

White Lace And Linen Inspiration For an Outdoor Wedding

Labor Day is looming right around the corner and with it the unofficial last day of Summer. Keeping in line with dress code rules of the season, we thought it a great time to revisit the timeless all-white wedding palette with some inspiration from CM Events and Design. While we will certainly keep rockin’ the fresh white design ideas way past Labor Day, we’re loving this one now. Scroll through to explore…

The all-white-palette is a classic. It sets the scene for the details to really shine. CM Events and Design used our White Vine Tulle overlay as the base of their table paired with our White Hemstitch napkins. With the table set and styled, with assistant styling from A Beyoutiful Fete Events, all the details could come into play. Especially the gorgeous flowers, from Amy Lauren Floral Design, that brought in a touch of color. The shades of coral, light pink, and ivory gave this tablescape the perfect feel for an outdoor reception in the summer or spring!

And those tabletop rentals! Pieces from Select Event Group kept that classic feel going all across the design. Glittering gold flatware paired perfectly with gold and white dinnerware sitting atop a clear charger with a gilded rim that played so nicely with the glassware. All the details so meticulously considered!

When we say all the details, we mean even down to the menus. Did you notice the wax seal detail on those? Emily Baird Design didn’t skip a beat when it come to this suite. Calligraphy, script, and serif text came together beautifully for a modern design with traditional inspiration with bold black detailing. Swoon!

Tabletop Inspiration for your Weddings and Events with Pialisa Rentals

When it comes to crafting the perfect tabletop, it’s all about how your pieces work together. From linens to flowers, and paper goods to tabletop rentals, everything plays an important part in the look. And when it comes to the latter, Pialisa Rentals has us covered! Their impeccable eye for design and gorgeous collection of tabletop rentals is just what we’ve been looking for. Scroll through to see three styles paired with pieces from our collection and get inspired…

We may be a little biased, as our Beverly linen is one of our favorites, but isn’t this look just amazing? It’s summer personified! Pialisa took this print from casual to chic with a white and gold palette using their Oro Dinnerware and White + Gold Flatware. And we love how the menu cards, from Paper Gals gave an extra nod to the tropics with that punch of bright green. Set this one up poolside and you’re good to go!

A black and white palette will always be classic and with our toile-inspired Black Jamestown linen, all the better. Pialisa paired this look with their Jet Dinnerware collection and Black + Gold flatware, keeping the color palette streamlined with just a hint of shimmer. We’re obsessed with the florals from Ever After Floral Design. The assortment of bright greens with pops of white gives the design a fresh look!

And for something of a softer look, Pialisa used a neutral palette with pink accents against an exposed wood table. To give the tablescape that pop of color, Ever After Floral Design added in soft coral hues to the arrangement. Pialisa tied everything together with our Floral Monet Napkin set again their Unicorn Pink Dinnerware and Romantic Pink Charger. A match made in event design heaven!

Each little detail combines to make a tabletop spectacular! From napkins to paper goods, it all matters. What’s your favorite design element?

A Magical Styled Shoot with Unicorns and Shades of Purple

The events industry is nothing if not magical. It’s full of surprises, bright colors, smiling faces and pure happiness. That’s what we live for! And as creatives in the events industry, there’s nothing like getting to play around and design something for the sheer fun of it. So when Jordan Payne, of Jordan Payne Events, pitched us shades of purple and unicorns, we said, “Go for it!” Scroll through to see her fantastical design…

The color palette is so rich on this design! Shades of purple are anchored with black accents and peppered with pops of pink. The flowers, from David Kimmel Design, give the design that “dark beauty” feel that Jordan Payne Events was looking for. The arrangement, although low on the tabletop, adds dimension with branches that extend toward the ceiling. A beautifully creative look for this design!

Our Lilac Velluto linen set the table with a lovely light purple hue, paired with a deeper shade of purple from our Purple Oxford napkins. We love the tabletop goods, from Posh Couture Rentals, that really tied everything together. Clear purple glassware, black china with a gold edge, and mirrored chargers gave the table a chic shimmer.

And for serious invitation inspiration, Ceci New York, dreamed up the star of the design, watercolor menu cards with mystical unicorns at the center. Paired with the rest of the invitation suite, which included paper flower details and laser cut accents, this really made the afternoon shine!

An Outdoor Summer Wedding Styled Photo Shoot in Annapolis

Officially, we’re told, the first day of summer was June 21st and boy are we as ready as ever to get in the swing of the season! To us nothing says summer like dining al fresco – you know we love it! So when Heather Benge Events sent us images from the Annapolis Styled Shoots Across America stop, we were ecstatic! Scroll through to see why…

Usually when we think of al fresco dining it’s on a terrace or at a patio, rarely are we lucky enough to be set up at a place like Whitehall, a waterfront wedding venue in Annapolis, MD. Everywhere we looked we were happily surrounded by vibrant greenery and beautiful architecture. The setting was so nice that Brittany Branson captured it in a beautiful live watercolor painting!

We’re in love with the range of colors on this one! From the cake, from Angyono Cakes, to the invitation suite,  from By Brittany Branson, everything was decked out in brightly colored hues. The color palette was really set by the incredible arrangement of flowers, from Intrigue Designs. The florals ranged from a deep burgundy to a blush pink with an array of oranges and yellows in between. And the ribbons tied off of the arrangement? A perfect touch for this breezy outdoor design!

Heather Benge Events made sure not one single color of the rainbow was forgotten! She brought in beautiful blues with our Sky Velluto linen, which set the base for this design. Paired with ornate flatware and blue-tinged glassware, from White Glove Rentals, it came together like a dream!

What do you think, would you go brightly colored for your wedding? You know we certainly love it, let us know what you think!

How to use Specialty Napkins in your Wedding Design

We know, we know, there’s nothing like finding the perfect linen to really set the mood for your design. But we think, why stop there? Once you’ve got the base down, find a napkin that will really take the whole took to the next level. Scroll through for three different ways to add napkins to your event…

For that truly ethereal wedding look, we love how The Creative’s Loft used our Flax Elizabeth Lace Napkin. The neutral fabric with a linen touch tied in perfectly with the rustic feel of the evening. And a nice lace edge adds just a touch of playful to the exposed wood tables!

For a more corporate feel, we’re totally into Lindsay Landman Events’ use of our Coral Honeycomb Napkins paired with our Indigo Velluto linens and runners. This networking lunch, at The Knot Pro Workshop in Philadelphia, was a beautiful blend of elegant and fun. The mix of runners and full linens in a traditional navy blue were a perfect contrast to the bright hued geometric print!

For that summer vibe, we’re head over heels for our Floral Monet Napkin at this Styled Shoots Across America set up. Heather Benge Events designed this table, with our Sky Velluto linen as the soft blue base, letting the flowers and décor really shine bright in their bountiful colors. We think it’s the perfect place to grab a sunshine filled brunch.

From lace to prints and infinite colorful options in between, we think napkins add just the right touch of detail to any event! What’s your favorite from our collection?

An Outdoor Wedding at the Belle Isle Boat House in Detroit, Michigan

Follow us to the heart of downtown Detroit, a neighborhood in the middle of a revitalization. With our affinity for historical details and raw event spaces, we couldn’t help but fall for the Belle Isle Boat House, formerly known as the Detroit Boat Club. Styled Shoots Across America put together a beautiful waterside shoot here, scroll through to see it all…

Who could ask for a more beautiful location that the Belle Isle Boat Club? With its original details (just look at those moldings!) and patio with a water view, it might literally be the perfect place for a wedding. And those sun-drenched interiors really set the perfect scene for a lounge area. Especially if said lounge area is made up of tufted pink velvet pieces from Event Theory.

Let’s pop back outside to the patio, because why dine indoors when you could be outside? With views of the Detroit river and right onto downtown, this really has a great vantage point. Heather Benge Events set the table with our Chambray Dalusio linen, bringing in the bright blue skies to the tabletop. We love how the pattern is both ikat-inspired and has a Baroque feel to it – blending old and new, much like the venue itself. The tabletop decor, including our Flax Diana Lace Napkins, was kept subtle with coordinating blue glassware and traditional flatware, really giving the floral arrangement from Intrigue Designs space to bloom! We love the spectrum of pink hues, from light blush to bold fuchsia, that brought this table to life.

And all of the details tied in just beautifully! Our favorite piece? That delicious cake from The Dulce Experience. Set in a shade of blue that matched the tabletop, it was lightly brushed for artist effect and adorned with lovely flowers. We say, let them eat cake and then some!

Cator Woolford Gardens, in Atlanta, Georgia, set a beautiful backdrop for this shoot. With its trellised walkways and sweeping greens, it’s a dream wedding location. Heather Benge Events took advantage of the landscaped grounds to put together the loveliest lounge setting with furniture from Southern Vintage. We’re gushing over the pretty pink tufted velvet armchairs, just the place for newlyweds to celebrate their nuptials!

And how about that dining location? Nestled between stone columns and tucked underneath overgrown vines, it’s the most romantic little spot! We love how our Sage Plaster linen set the table with soft shades of green and taupe, giving florals by Intrigue Designs room to blossom! And blossom they did! The floral arrangement truly brought Spring feelings to life in lush, cascading shades of pink and orange. What joy!

We’re head over heels for the table top decor, delicate pieces from Tea and Old Roses that tied everything together. Lovely vintage china in matching shades of blush and mint mixed in with mother of pearl chargers and shiny gold flatware to give this tablescape a beautiful shimmer. Rose-colored glassware completed the look giving guests the perfect glasses to cheers with!

Adding Texture to your Event Design!

Whether it’s a wedding or a social celebration, the best events are really all about tantalizing the five senses. From the setting to the cocktails, you’ve thought of every last detail to make this event incredible, kudos to you! So you’ve hit sight, sound, taste and smell, but did you remember to include touch? If not, we’ve got you covered! From our super soft velvet-inspired Velluto collection to an array of voluminous ruffles and waves, there’s a linen out there for you. Here are three of our favorite ways to have your guests getting touchy-feely at the party…

Amp up the volume with our Blush Tulle Wave, our slightly softer take on our traditional Ruffle linen. The tulle fabric gives you all the perks of texture while adding a romantic feel to your tablescape. Petal Productions paired it with a beautiful arrangement of roses topped with antler adornment. The combination makes for a perfect balance of modern and whimsy!

If you’re looking for lasercut, our Rose Iris overlay from the Preston Bailey Collection is the perfect piece. The floral motif shines in its leather-look fabric with just the right amount of gloss. Smells Like Peonies Events paired it with an assortment of antique brass candleholders that cascaded down the table like a runner. And to keep the look minimal they used clear Kartell-inspired ghost chairs paired with textured pillows, to make guests feel extra comfortable at their seat.

And for the ultimate favorite feeling, let’s get the Velluto! Our softest style yet, it’s a velvet-inspired fabric that’ll have your guests running their hands over the tablecloth all night long. Heather Benge Events styled the Blush Velluto with our Snow Elizabeth Lace napkins just right for an outdoor soiree. We love how the florals played with monochromatic hues to really pop against the linen. *Swoon*

Whether you’re looking for volume in the way of ruffles and tulle, or something that will add a tactile element while laying flat, such as leather and velvet, there’s a linen out there to bring that fifth sense to the party. Your guests will be getting touchy-feely before they even realize it!
