Origin story

The idea for Nuage Designs was serendipitously sparked during a conversation between two college friends, opening a door - and an immediate immersion - into the intricacies of textile sourcing and production. With a background in luxury hospitality and an international education that exposed him to diverse cultures, Pablo Oliveira found himself, in that moment, uniquely equipped to bring a fresh perspective to the world of event design. A creative pursuit, both for products and services, Nuage was born in 2004.

Nuage Designs first took shape in Miami’s vibrant Wynwood district, beginning in a modest sewing factory that symbolized the company's humble yet ambitious origins. Pablo’s early focus on custom-made textiles quickly revealed a gap in the market for beautiful, high-quality fabrics that could withstand the demands of event rentals. Recognizing this need, he, and a dedicated team of talented artisans, transformed Nuage into the premier destination for innovative design and exceptional service. Over the past 20 years, Nuage has grown to serve top event planners, Fortune 500 companies, and luxury hotels around the world.

A collective, hands-on approach connects our nearly 100 person-strong team - from the careful selection and design of textiles to the in-house production capabilities - ensuring that each product and supporting effort meets the highest standards of quality.
