Black and White Southwestern-Inspired Prints in Arizona

Ready to jet to the Southwest? Come along with us as we discover the Desert Foothills, an oasis of a wedding and events venue located just outside of Phoenix, Arizona. Inspired Environments dreamed up the concept for this dinner in the desert and we are ready to dine! Scroll through to see how everything came together…

Desert Foothills is the perfect place for an outdoor soiree in Arizona. We are in love with all the nuances of the space and how it set the backdrop for this shoot. The lounge area, an assortment of leather and cowhide seating accented with an assortment brass, gold, and clear acrylic tables, was tucked under an open air tent. Just the spot to take a seat and enjoy the desert views.

On to our favorite part, the tablescape! Our Black Sedona linen set the base for this design. With its geometric pattern, it’s reminiscent of Southwestern inspired textiles. Inspired Environments used a black top over the linen on which chargers and desert-inspired images were drawn on for a whimsical and creative touch on this design! Giving the table top a bright punch of color, AZ Petal Pushers brought in bright greens, oranges and reds in succulent arrangements that ran down the center of the table. A perfect compliment to this black and white design!

And kudos to the attention to detail! We love the bar, a cowhide texture with an optic white frame and light wood top to tie back to the lounge area. We can only imagine how the warms colors of this rental shine against the desert orange once sunset starts to hit.

From Southwestern-inspired prints to bright succulents, this is a desert celebration we’d be thrilled to attend! How do you design with Black and White?

A Bold Print Outdoor Party with Fiesta Inspiration

There are so many wonderful things to cherish about summer. From beach days to boat rides, being outdoors really tops our list for the season. And the number one thing we really love to do? Dining al fresco with friends! It seems we’re not the only ones. The team behind Event Prep in Detroit, MI, put together some bold fiesta inspiration fit for a summer soiree. Scroll through to see what they dreamed up…

No matter what time of year, a bright-colored party is always right! Event Prep designed this fiesta-inspired photo shoot in bold hues of orange, fuchsia and blue and we’re so into the combination. Our Papel Chino print was used not just once, but twice, to set the scene! Our Orange Papel Chino Runner was used on the DIY Nacho Bar and our Royal Papel Chino linen was used on the tablescape. One style, two ways for an amazing party design!

Finding inspiration from our Papel Chino print and Mexican Talavera tiles, Glass City Cupcakes design a cake so perfect we could hardly believe our eyes (and tastebuds!). Patterned blue on white print covered the base with a combination of succulents and flowers topped the design. Delicious and divine!

We are absolutely in love with how fun this concept came together. The team at Event Prep really took the theme and ran with it! From the DIY Nacho Bar, with toppings arranged in pink cactus margarita glasses, to the personal-size Patron favors, every detail was covered. And did you see the photo booth? Cactus outlines painted to match the party’s palette we set against a fuchsia backdrop, creating the most Instagrammable spot for a guest photo!

As always, another great excuse for going bold with color! Looking for more bright inspiration? Check out this tropical-inspired photoshoot in Chicago. One of our faves!

Inspired by The Knot Pro Workshop at the US GRANT Hotel in San Diego

When it comes to hosting an events industry workshop, The Knot Pro really knows how to do it! We’ve partnered with them as their exclusive linen sponsor since 2017 and have gone from Hawaii to New York City with a ton of stops in between. Most recently we stopped over in San Diego, at The US GRANT Hotel, and had an absolute blast! Scroll through to take a peek into the workshop…

Welcome in! We’re loving the registration set up, from White Lace Events and Design, the planners and designers of the event. The natural and rustic look of wooden accents, wrought iron details and lots and lots of greenery gave the hotel sleek design a cozy feel. Oh and all the lemon details? We’re adding that to our fave-things-for-fall list.

Stepping into the workshop room, a set up for 200 attendees, we were taken aback! An ombre sea of our velluto linens, starting with our Steel Velluto, to our Charcoal Velluto, and ending with our Black Velluto, played so well with the hotel carpet (which we all know can be a thing). It also gave a cool effect in the space, creating a nice neutral base for the stage design, with beautiful furniture and stylish decor, to really be the focal point.

As we heard incredible presentations from The Knot team, local California event professionals, and friends from across the states, we picked up an appetite. Stepping into a garden inspired lunch we couldn’t help but gasp at the delicious design. With a blue and white table palette, set with our Royal Delft linen paired with our White Hemstitch napkins and our Indigo Velluto linen paired with our Snow Elizabeth Lace napkins, paired with wooden cross-back chairs and delightful floral arrangements from Botanicamuse, we felt as if we were dining in Italy!

Aside from connecting with friends, new and old, one of our favorite things about The Knot Workshops is the chance to really dig into our business, from headshots to one-on-one consultations, there’s a lot to explore. We’ve even joined in the fun with a space of our own where attendees can come meet our team, explore our linens, take home our 2018 Style Guide and discover our Design Trunk all in one place!

Have you had a chance to join us at #TheKnotWorkshop yet? Next stop is in Boston – nab a ticket and head out to meet us. If Boston is a little far from home, here’s the schedule for the rest of the year – hope to see you soon!

A Living Lookbook

There were marble tabletops, vertical tabletops and even swinging tabletops at #ALivingLookbook and we can barely control our excitement! This amazing event, hosted in NYC alongside our showroom collective, Bastille Flowers & Events, RedBliss Design, Sofia Crokos Events & Lifestyle, and BorrowedBLU, was a blast to concept and bring to life. Scroll through to immerse yourself in our living lookbook…

Welcome in! We flipped some tables around (and on their sides) to turn our collective showroom into an off the walls living lookbook – quite literally. Not only was this meant to inspire creativity, but also to connect like-minded creatives in our industry. Lucky for us, Marcia Selden Catering helped us set the mood with glasses of sparkling water and wine and a never-ending stream of snacks!

As a creative team, we came into this event wanting to inspire less traditional ways of looking at events. We rigged up five swings to showcase different tabletop looks, adorned with beautiful pieces from RedBliss Design, BorrowedBLU and an assortment of our linens and napkins. To give them a really striking contrast, they were set against a black backdrop with vibrant florals from Bastille Flowers & Events tying them together in an artful, organic form!

Across from the swings, set against our already existing floral wallpaper, we designed a vertical tablescape – giving attendees that perfectly Instagrammable overhead shot without having to lean over the tabletop. Sofia Crokos Events & Lifestyle anchored the setting with our Black Metallic Forest, adding in a pop of color with our Avocado Oxford napkins and mixed metal accents with a gold charger from RedBliss Design and gilded glassware from BorrowedBLU. The perfect mix of textures and colors to have this design jumping off the wall!

And for those who love an exposed tabletop, we gave our marble island a light summer refresh with panels of our art-deco inspired Nude Raleigh  linen. We can’t get enough of the gold napkin buckle RedBliss Design added to our Blush Ditsy napkin, giving a casual design an elegant touch! Add to that a stunning arrangement in shades of pink and red, from Bastille Flowers & Events, and you’ve got yourself a delicious place to dine!

We’re so grateful for our friends and partners that came by to say hello. From sharing ideas to saying cheers, it was quite the day! If you couldn’t make it, we’d love to have you by, give us a shout and come say hello!
