Summer 2020 in Review

Although it felt like the Summer that Never Was, we saw creative minds across the country designing vibrant event concepts to brighten even the gloomiest of seasons. We’re taking a look back at some of the cheery tablescapes that brought a smile to our face this summer!

A Bright Brunch

House of Catherine proved that summer is for brunch with this fresh & inviting tablescape. Her design plan incorporated rich aqua and teal tones that contrasted against bright citrus notes, accented perfectly by our Floral Monet Napkins.

Soirée Collection: Bold Patterns and Metallic Textures

With bold shimmery patterns adding to abstract lines woven into subtle metallic textures, our new Soirée Collection lends a sleek and warm atmosphere to any elegant affair. The sumptuous linens are complemented by our new selection of chroma chargers pairing our luxurious new fabrics with opulent chargers will bring unparalleled splendor to any special occasion. We invite you to explore the sophistication of our new Soirée Collection below:

We worked with The J Group Events on this lavish look full of rich metallic hues. Our Lagoon Gramercy linen provides the perfect backdrop for tasteful chargers from Tavola Tabletop and a playful collection of white phalaenopsis orchids down the center of the table. The architectural lines of our Gold & Turquoise Tribeca chairs from our sister brand Nuvole Collection tie seamlessly into the contemporary design. Next, our friends at Petal Productions used our Foam Hendrix as the canvas for their sophisticated table with a pavé of white hydrangeas. Our new Gold Nexus Charger served as the perfect accessory to pair with a soft Sky Velluto napkin.

Our naturally-inspired Glow marble and Natural Dexter linens are ideal for creating a warm, sophisticated environment. The masterminds behind Petal Productions layered a cluster of white hydrangeas over the woven pattern of the Natural Dexter linen for a summery feel. With our new Harmony Charger and the soft texture of our Sand Terra napkin, this look is absolutely fresh. Transitioning to a more cutting edge mood, our Platinum Monacosets a shimmering stage for this mirrored container of vibrant blooms from the J Group Events. Our Silver Rain Napkin and Harmony Charger complete the sleek look.

Cream Taupes to warm grays and charcoal

This soft yet rich vignette from Plan Design Events was curated with one element in mind: modern romance. We love how their lush centerpiece pulls all the different hues of blush from our Rose Hendrix linen, and our Rose Terra napkin makes this setting sweetly complete! Our Gold Moxie Charger paired with Tavola Tabletop’s artistic china and flatware are the finishing touches this tablescape needs to be called perfection.

Blush and Wine

The timeless combination of navy and gold is always a showstopper. Our Indigo Austin adds energy & interest below a clean cascade of crisp white orchids from the J Group. Add our Gold Nexus Chargers and Sienna Velluto napkins, and voila! Plan Design Events opted for deep hues of red and soft pastels to accent our shimmery Midnight Monaco linen. Our Rose Velluto napkin nested between this whimsical china from Tavola Tabletop ties the look together. Finally, fuchsia orchids from the J Group Events are just the pop of color we need to bring this tablescape to life with our Gold Austin linen, Gold Nexus Charger and Vel Royal Lamour Satin Napkins.

The subtle lines of our Black Kennedy linen meet their match with our Gold Nexus Charger and Black Metallic Burlap Napkin in this dramatic tablescape. Animal print gets a glam twist with our Black Gianni, inspired by the incomparable Versace. The J Group Events created pops of bright colored centerpieces to contrast with this striking sequined linen. White and Gold Chargers from Tavola Tabletop complete this sumptuous design.

New Aspen Linen: Glorious in every season

The beauty of these fascinating trees found from coast to coast has inspired our latest design: the Aspen Linen. Whether in the summer when the leaves are dark green against the blue skies, or in the fall when their brilliant golden leaves blaze above their sleek black & white trunks, the Aspens have our full attention.

Our new Aspen linen is the ideal neutral canvas for sophisticated and stunning events throughout all four seasons. We enlisted the help of our friends from The Aspen Branch in Aspen, CO, and from two Miami-based designers, J Group Events and Petal Productions, to showcase the possibilities for this earthy, textured linen.

Winter Inspiration

The design visionaries at The Aspen Branch drew upon the serenity of Aspen in the wintertime to deliver the ultimate neutral tablescape. The understated sophistication gives this look a new take on mountain chic.

Spring Inspiration

Our Sky Aspen linen provided a perfectly fresh canvas for this spring-inspired setting by our friends from Petal Productions in Miami. The look, completed with our Olive Terra Napkins and new Whitewash Acacia chargers, is at once as soft and sweet as new spring blooms.

Summer Inspiration

Miami-based Petal Productions imagined peering into a canopy of bright green leaves against a rich blue sky when designing this clean summer concept. Here, our naturally-inspired Earth Aspen Linen provides a rich canvas for a lush arrangement of greenery, and our Pacific Velluto napkins draw out the rich blue hue perfectly!

Fall Inspiration

This warm, modern vignette from J Group Events in Miami was designed with the aspen tree’s most brilliant season in mind: fall. The sleek Dove Aspen linen paired with our Charcoal Terra napkin allows a bright yellow centerpiece to captivate us, just like a show of fall foliage.

Fall Weddings in Upstate New York with Alpacas

Nothing says fall like the great outdoors in upstate New York. So let’s head to Faraway Farm in the Hudson River Valley to enjoy the season! Scroll through to see this styled shoot, perfect for the season…

Together Events took us to Westchester County to the gorgeous Faraway Farm, just a quick trip north of New York City. Once we were there, we couldn’t begin to imagine a better place for a fall wedding. All around us was green grass, blue skies, and…alpacas! What a fun treat to spend the day with these friendly animals!

After an afternoon of playing with our new friends, we set the table for dinner. The table was set against a wood and white-washed barn on site. Our Indigo Velluto linen was paired with our Ultra Pumpkin Faux Dupioni napkins, setting the stage with a deep color palette. Add in a set of rustic wood chairs and it’s just the place for an al fresco dinner.

IndyFASO paired their beautiful blooms against our velvet-inspired backdrop for a stunning effect! Flowers in shades of peach and blush were accented with deep purples and golden accents. We love the assortment of candles, thin tapers, short votives and glass containers that sparkled throughout the night.

From the alpacas to the views, we are head over heels for Faraway Farms! Would you head to upstate New York for your fall wedding?

Fall Weddings in Blue and Velvet

With the fall upon us, we’re starting to feel that crisp in the air and getting ready to settle into the cooler temps. And as we shift into the new season, with it comes a change in color palette. To get us into the fall feelings, we’re looking at shades of blue. Lucky for us, Bright & Co. Events have just the thing to get us in the mood. Scroll through to see more of this seasonal setting…

We’re head over heels for how this tablescape together! Many hues of blue combined across the table coming together perfectly for a this fall wedding friendly design. Bright & Co. Events set the table with our Slate Plaster linen and paired it with our Indigo Velluto runner, a combination bringing together not just an ombre of blue but also an array of textures. Doesn’t velvet feel just perfect for the season?

Adding to the beauty of the table, Bright & Co. Events arranged lovely blooms in neutral tones, white and peach, to brighten up the setting. The design of these together was whimsical and entertaining giving a touch of fun to the day. Add to that blue tapered candles in an assortment of heights and we’re thinking this is just a dream for the season!

The whole look comes together in the most romantic way with an invitation suite from Sablewood Paper Company. Wax sealed menus and delicately tied name cards sitting atop cutting boards added a soft touch to this delicate design.

White Lace And Linen Inspiration For an Outdoor Wedding

Labor Day is looming right around the corner and with it the unofficial last day of Summer. Keeping in line with dress code rules of the season, we thought it a great time to revisit the timeless all-white wedding palette with some inspiration from CM Events and Design. While we will certainly keep rockin’ the fresh white design ideas way past Labor Day, we’re loving this one now. Scroll through to explore…

The all-white-palette is a classic. It sets the scene for the details to really shine. CM Events and Design used our White Vine Tulle overlay as the base of their table paired with our White Hemstitch napkins. With the table set and styled, with assistant styling from A Beyoutiful Fete Events, all the details could come into play. Especially the gorgeous flowers, from Amy Lauren Floral Design, that brought in a touch of color. The shades of coral, light pink, and ivory gave this tablescape the perfect feel for an outdoor reception in the summer or spring!

And those tabletop rentals! Pieces from Select Event Group kept that classic feel going all across the design. Glittering gold flatware paired perfectly with gold and white dinnerware sitting atop a clear charger with a gilded rim that played so nicely with the glassware. All the details so meticulously considered!

When we say all the details, we mean even down to the menus. Did you notice the wax seal detail on those? Emily Baird Design didn’t skip a beat when it come to this suite. Calligraphy, script, and serif text came together beautifully for a modern design with traditional inspiration with bold black detailing. Swoon!

Inspired by The Knot Pro Workshop at the State Room in Boston

As event professionals, we love a chance to mingle with our industry friends. For us, there’s no better time to meet and learn than a workshop with The Knot Pro! So much so that we’ve partnered with them again and again as their exclusive linen sponsor for all of their #TheKnotWorkshop stops. Want to see what all the fun is about? Scroll through for a peek into the Boston workshop that just took place…

The day kicked off at the State Room, a Longwood Venue, in the heart of downtown Boston, Massachusetts. Riding up to the 33rd floor, we were graced with views of the harbor that were just unbelievable! We Tie The Knots had the morning kicking right off with registration and breakfast looking out over the city. We had our pop up space set up in the space for attendees to explore our Design Trunk, 2018 Style Guide, and assortment of swatches all at their fingertips.

Onto where the magic happens, the workshop! Working with a color palette of purples and silvers, designed by Meldeen uniquely for the Boston event, we had an ombre effect of our Velluto linens that culminated in the Lavender Willow linen. It created a beautiful and serene setting for listening to industry pros from Boston and abroad as they delivered actionable insights for us to dig into!

Speaking of digging into things, lunch was a blast! We were randomly seated at tables, set with our Silver Lapidus linen, Silver Metallic Faux Dupioni napkin and Evening Mauve Satin napkin, and given the chance to connect with event professionals from all around who were attending for the afternoon. What a treat!

And of course, we wouldn’t be event professionals without ending the day with some cocktails! We ended the day right where we started for breakfast, with views from the 33rd floor of the State Room. But this time we had bubbles, snacks and a photobooth on wheels. Cheers to that!

We’re getting amped up for the next #TheKnotWorkshop stops – will you be joining in for any? If you want another sneak peek into what a day at the workshop is like, check out the San Diego stop here!

A Magical Styled Shoot with Unicorns and Shades of Purple

The events industry is nothing if not magical. It’s full of surprises, bright colors, smiling faces and pure happiness. That’s what we live for! And as creatives in the events industry, there’s nothing like getting to play around and design something for the sheer fun of it. So when Jordan Payne, of Jordan Payne Events, pitched us shades of purple and unicorns, we said, “Go for it!” Scroll through to see her fantastical design…

The color palette is so rich on this design! Shades of purple are anchored with black accents and peppered with pops of pink. The flowers, from David Kimmel Design, give the design that “dark beauty” feel that Jordan Payne Events was looking for. The arrangement, although low on the tabletop, adds dimension with branches that extend toward the ceiling. A beautifully creative look for this design!

Our Lilac Velluto linen set the table with a lovely light purple hue, paired with a deeper shade of purple from our Purple Oxford napkins. We love the tabletop goods, from Posh Couture Rentals, that really tied everything together. Clear purple glassware, black china with a gold edge, and mirrored chargers gave the table a chic shimmer.

And for serious invitation inspiration, Ceci New York, dreamed up the star of the design, watercolor menu cards with mystical unicorns at the center. Paired with the rest of the invitation suite, which included paper flower details and laser cut accents, this really made the afternoon shine!

Mix and Match design elements for an Instagrammable tablescape

We love when things get a little…kooky, so when Ashton Events shared this styled photoshoot with us we were absolutely in love! From wooden accents to velvet textures and a lot of things in between, they mix-and-matched this table top to Instagram-enviable levels. Scroll through to read all about it…

First things first, let’s set the table. Our Indigo Batik linen was the base for this look, giving it a very bohemian vibe for Ashton Events to play off of. To our delight, they paired it with our Floral Monet Napkin, creating a contrast of prints that looked just divine together.

Wanting to elevate an otherwise casual feeling linen, Ashton Events added in touches of gold from the ceremony space to the tabletop. From gold flatware to gilded-edge chargers and towering floral arrangements, it added just the touch of metal to give it that chic finish.

And the florals, how we loved those! In beautiful soft, pastel shades they played right in with the decor. Ashton Events designed an assortment of arrangements giving the design extra dimensionality. Two tall arrangements sat at the ends of the table with a low flower runner in between, tying the light corals and blush pinks of the flowers together just right!

The other thing that we were absolutely obsessed with? The mix of wood and rattan seating used at the table. From two accent chairs at the heads of the table to an assortment of vintage wooden chairs and a simple bench draped with a plush fur throw, not one detail was overlooked!

Whether it’s a wedding ceremony or an intimate dinner party, we love this look! It’s the perfect combination of boho and chic with the stunning loft background of Haus 820 (and you know how much we love an industrial space!). What’s your take – do you mix and match when you design?

Black and White Southwestern-Inspired Prints in Arizona

Ready to jet to the Southwest? Come along with us as we discover the Desert Foothills, an oasis of a wedding and events venue located just outside of Phoenix, Arizona. Inspired Environments dreamed up the concept for this dinner in the desert and we are ready to dine! Scroll through to see how everything came together…

Desert Foothills is the perfect place for an outdoor soiree in Arizona. We are in love with all the nuances of the space and how it set the backdrop for this shoot. The lounge area, an assortment of leather and cowhide seating accented with an assortment brass, gold, and clear acrylic tables, was tucked under an open air tent. Just the spot to take a seat and enjoy the desert views.

On to our favorite part, the tablescape! Our Black Sedona linen set the base for this design. With its geometric pattern, it’s reminiscent of Southwestern inspired textiles. Inspired Environments used a black top over the linen on which chargers and desert-inspired images were drawn on for a whimsical and creative touch on this design! Giving the table top a bright punch of color, AZ Petal Pushers brought in bright greens, oranges and reds in succulent arrangements that ran down the center of the table. A perfect compliment to this black and white design!

And kudos to the attention to detail! We love the bar, a cowhide texture with an optic white frame and light wood top to tie back to the lounge area. We can only imagine how the warms colors of this rental shine against the desert orange once sunset starts to hit.

From Southwestern-inspired prints to bright succulents, this is a desert celebration we’d be thrilled to attend! How do you design with Black and White?

A Bold Print Outdoor Party with Fiesta Inspiration

There are so many wonderful things to cherish about summer. From beach days to boat rides, being outdoors really tops our list for the season. And the number one thing we really love to do? Dining al fresco with friends! It seems we’re not the only ones. The team behind Event Prep in Detroit, MI, put together some bold fiesta inspiration fit for a summer soiree. Scroll through to see what they dreamed up…

No matter what time of year, a bright-colored party is always right! Event Prep designed this fiesta-inspired photo shoot in bold hues of orange, fuchsia and blue and we’re so into the combination. Our Papel Chino print was used not just once, but twice, to set the scene! Our Orange Papel Chino Runner was used on the DIY Nacho Bar and our Royal Papel Chino linen was used on the tablescape. One style, two ways for an amazing party design!

Finding inspiration from our Papel Chino print and Mexican Talavera tiles, Glass City Cupcakes design a cake so perfect we could hardly believe our eyes (and tastebuds!). Patterned blue on white print covered the base with a combination of succulents and flowers topped the design. Delicious and divine!

We are absolutely in love with how fun this concept came together. The team at Event Prep really took the theme and ran with it! From the DIY Nacho Bar, with toppings arranged in pink cactus margarita glasses, to the personal-size Patron favors, every detail was covered. And did you see the photo booth? Cactus outlines painted to match the party’s palette we set against a fuchsia backdrop, creating the most Instagrammable spot for a guest photo!

As always, another great excuse for going bold with color! Looking for more bright inspiration? Check out this tropical-inspired photoshoot in Chicago. One of our faves!
