Inspired by: Marie Antoinette

Marie Antoinette, the ultimate queen of parties & opulence and one of our very favorite muses. Her exquisite taste and love of ornamentation created a real-life dream world right inside the gates of Versailles. The soft pastel colors, intricate floral motifs and divine furniture pieces she selected have inspired a million mood boards, bridal showers and weddings, and with good reason! Journey with us as we channel Marie Antoinette in a stunning design from our friends at Adam Covington Signature Studios. Allons-y!

A visit to Versailles is all it takes to fall in love. Surrounded by lush greenery and perfectly kept gardens, it’s no surprise that the queen was fascinated with flowers, incorporating floral motifs throughout the palace’s many rooms. Adam Covington Signature Studios took this to heart, creating dreamy floral arrangements; a runner down the length of the table contrasted with high arrangements dancing on clear glass vases, bursting with white orchids!

Combining perfectly pleated overlays with beautifully rushed chair backs, Adam Covington Signature Studios incorporated the refined, well-tailored look that Marie Antoinette strived for, apparent in her intricately constructed gowns and accessories.

It wouldn’t be Marie Antoinette without a party! The queen, known for being a social butterfly once admitted, “I am terrified of being bored.” Inspired by her joie de vivre, any fête with her in mind must be imbued with laughter, indulgence and pleasure. So, call on your closest friends, pop the champagne and let them eat cake!

Shades of Pink

Just when we were beginning to think we were getting too old to feel pretty in pink, Ashley Henry, of Henry Photograpy, reminded us why that’s not even possible.

Shades of Pink 2

Blending delicate shades of pink with deep berry tones, this gorgeous styled shoot is the perfect palette for any blushing bride! With a centerpiece of hanging roses and crystal chandeliers, Madison House Designs really added a contemporary feel to this romantic setting. We love the addition of clear acrylic chairs and menu cards, balancing the lush florals with minimalist details.

With a keen eye for design, Ashley created a unique blend of modern elements warmed up with just the right touch of rose-colored hues. After seeing this lovely wedding inspiration we are definitely tinkled pink!

A Nüage Designs Guide To: Dining al Fresco

With Spring starting to peek it’s head out and summer right around the corner, we’re dreaming of sunny days spent outdoors. And what, you may ask, is our absolute favorite thing to do on a beautiful day outside? We love gathering a couple of friends, grabbing some cold refreshments and setting up some snacks to enjoy in the fresh air. What a beautiful time! Read more on our guide to dining al fresco…

We love a bright sunny day with a cool breeze, it just begs us to sit outside and enjoy it. Find an spot and make it feel intimately your own – somewhere that conversation can flow and laughter can be shared with friends!

Al Fresco Dining 5

Bring some of the season’s bright colors to the table, literally! We love mixing in fun prints with solid accents. The contrast of turquoise napkins with the bold red Calypso Lalo print really adds dimension to the table. When entertaining outdoors, cotton and linen are both great fabrics to use.

Al Fresco Dining 3

Wrought iron chairs feel nice and cool on a hot day. Mixing styles, chairs with decorative motifs and others with clean lines, is a fun way to add to the design. Pepper in some cushions and pillows for comfort!

Al Fresco Dining 4

When the weather is this nice, something bubbly feels just right! We’ll take a cue straight from Italy on this one and enjoy a perfect pour of prosecco. If you’re feeling creative, a nice Aperol Spritz is an easy to make refreshing cocktail that adds a fragrant hint of orange.

Al Fresco Dining 8

We love indulging our friends with the season’s offerings. Light fare like bruschetta, cantaloupes paired with prosciutto or a beautiful cheese plate always hits the spot. Adding in some herbs (we love rosemary!) is both delicious and fragrant. Nothing tastes as good as fresh ingredients!

Now, just add some good company and great conversation and you’re ready to go. Enjoy!
